No more appropriate than "getting lucky on first date." I guess if that's appropriate to you, so are tight leather pants.

I see no problem with it. When I met my fiance, I had on a leather mini skirt.

Leather may be a little passe, but who cares? You, and nobody else, is dressing you, right? So,if you want to go for "hot", then it's up to you. You dress in the way that makes you feel good about you, and sends the message you want to send.
