Can you make Levi's 501 shrink-to-fit skin tight?

I'm thinking of trying out a pair of shrink to fit jeans. I'm not totally sure how they work though. Can some explain this and how tight can you make them?

Sit in a tub. Don't take them off until they are dried.

I heard the waist loses like 2 inches, and the length a few more. Go longer.
Reply:I assume, like most jeans, you would be able to shrink them in the dryer.

Just give it a go, as 501's are a great cut, and even if it doesn't work they are very useful to own.
Reply:Yes you can, try washing them in HOT water rather than the preferable cold water, then put it in the dryer with high heat.
Reply:i heard shrinking to fit was basically putting them on, drenching them, and letting them dry. which seems extremely uncomfortable...wet jeans are gross. so maybe try it, then if you can't stand the wet jeans anymore, dry them on high heat, haha.
Reply:One way is to put the jeans on, drench them in water, and let them dry while you're in them. This method can pose a health risk. Sometimes, individuals had to have their pants surgically removed. You may want to think twice before pulling this one off.
